Gallup poll finds record support for legalizing marijuana

Expect now many more politicians coming out in favor of legalization. That phony Governor in California has already come out in favor of legalizing Marijuana. I believe in Democracy. But I don't believe in going along with the crowd. Obama has now used language to suggest he won't be tough on enforcing draw laws. The real winners: organized crime. Especially the Mexican drug gangs that decapitate people for fun.
in reference to:
"New data from U.S. polling firm Gallup shows nearly half of Americans -- a record number -- are in support of legalizing and taxing marijuana for recreational use by adults."

South Carolina Republicans Use Jew Stereotype to Defend DeMint

Is it any wonder that anti-Obama bigotry is coming from South Carolina politicians?

in reference to:

""There is a saying that the Jews who are wealthy got that way not by watching dollars, but instead by taking care of the pennies and the dollars taking care of themselves," Ulmer and Merwin wrote in their letter. "By not using earmarks to fund projects for South Carolina and instead using actual bills, DeMint is watching our nation's pennies and trying to preserve our country's wealth and our economy's viability to give all an opportunity to succeed.""

Millions are being spent to lobby Congress on health care overhaul

Money talks on Capitol Hill. And it is why the lobbyists rule America. Tell me how this is not corruption.

in reference to:

"In the first six months of 2009, financial disclosures show, health care groups spent more than a quarter of a billion dollars -- that's billion, with a "b" -- to hire lobbyists who can influence Washington's deliberations on health care and insurance reform.

That total, which doesn't include lobbying by health insurance groups, is expected to grow by $125 million or so this week, when lobbyists submit disclosures for July, August and September -- the months when work on health care reform got serious. That's on top of the $485 million that health groups spent on lobbying last year."

America's 10 Poorest Cities

Many of those cities are Republican.

in reference to:

"In 2008, U.S. median income fell to $50,303 from $52,163 in 2007. That 3.6% decline is the largest one-year drop since records begin. The poverty rate increased to 13.2% from 12.5%, meaning the recession has brought 2.6 million more Americans into poverty. The Economic Policy Institute projects that in the next two years, incomes could decline by another $3,000 and poverty could increase by 1.9 percentage points."
