Security breach at JFK airport causes delays

This is or will turn out to be hyper-sensitivity in the wake of the near disaster on Christmas Day. It seems we go from ignoring problems to being hysterical. And leading the way is the media. This would not have been a story prior to last December.

"A security breach at New York's John F. Kennedy airport sparked delays Saturday, an American Airlines spokesman said. Airline spokesman Charlie Wilson said operation will only resume after the Transportation Security Administration and Port Authority officials have rescreened all the passengers in the terminal. "We are going to have delays of a couple hours," before flight operations are allowed to resume, he said. TSA said the breach occurred at about 3:30 p.m. when an individual entered the secure, "sterile," area in Terminal 8 through a nonpublic employee door used by the airlines. A first-hand account: JFK airport a sea of people "TSA is working closely with the Port Authority to find the individual," the statement said. "The terminal is being evacuated in order to rescreen all passengers to ensure the safety of the traveling public." Earlier this month, a man was charged with trespassing after allegedly triggering a security breach at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey."
